Despite their impeccable track-record with us, our due-diligence process meant Lemoncake had to pitch for this year’s conference. Their response was well-considered; thoroughly planned; innovative; inspiringly creative - and bang-on budget, so we had no hesitation in re-appointing them to deliver.

This major conference was smoothly delivered with a creative use of the available event space.

Held in one of the main halls of Birmingham’s International Convention Centre, our concept was simple. Divide the Hall into 2 halves - using a double-sided set to create a partition, and then move delegates between the divided spaces to generate dynamism throughout the event.

One side hosted the plenary sessions in the morning, which consisted of keynote presentations and a motivational session from Sir Clive Woodward. The centre and sides of the set were then opened up for delegates to pass through to the breakout sessions on the other side of the hall. While the breakout sessions were taking place, Lemoncake had been busy resetting the other side of the hall, in preparation for the Gala Dinner with a nightclub including themed bar, dance floor and VIP seating area.

The finale of the Gala Dinner saw the evening's award winners revealed from behind the set accompanied by confetti canons, lighting, music and special effects.
